I like Rolex a lot.

But Rolex gets a lot of attention. It's much easier to wear Patek as an example as nobody really realises what it is. A GS is "just" a Seiko.

During the last 10 years, I have been asked two times about the Patek I wore. The other time I had a Nautilus and the other time an Aquanaut. Obviously those are getting too common. I wore a Rolex from 1986 till about 2000. Tens of times people noticed an...
Not sure for your travels to Asia...

But the chances of someone recognising it for what it is in Europe - apart from at watch GTGs - is between slim and remote
Definitely under the radar

Always good to have something only you appreciate. Though my Reverso has only ever drawn one comment in 16 years & that was from someone who's father was a jeweller. I still keep looking at Grand Seiko, an awful lot of watch & something most people wouldn...
Welcome to the secret society of GS!

This is my equivalent from about 10 years ago. Even today I love it. Soon after I got it I put my Zenith El Primero up for sale. The ad was answered locally by a big-wheel administrator at my wife’s school district. We made an appointment to meet for coff...

You both obviously have good taste. And I’ve never seen on on someone’s wrist. Not even in the Sydney boutique!

I no longer wear Rolex, even though it’s the brand that got me into this hobby. My limited edition GMT is on my wrist right now, it’s beautiful and very satisfying. Without a doubt a keeper I think. Enjoy my friend! Hopefully you’ll bond with this one and...

Or an obscure independent!

Yes you’re right. I think I could spot a Patek from about 100m, but then again, look at me! One might think I have a passing interest... It is certainly much better to fly under the radar though.
Same with me -

I can spot any Patek from distance but not a GS. Best, Kari

Do you know some components of Seiko watches are manufacture/process in 🇸🇬 upto few years ago if it has not shift it operation to cheaper venue.
Great choice. GS really makes great watches.

Ever since I started looking at them, I was hooked. They keep absolutely the best tome out of any watch in my winder. And the worsmanship and pure tactile quality is great. Nice, understated and appreciated by the connoisseurs.
Lots of hype
