. . of the inventor.  Not sure if this quartz watch is also allowed here but I share my story about this dual time, 100M WS, Illuminator alarm, which I had saved and “looked after” since 2004.

Snorkelling in Cyprus on holiday I retrieved this lost watch from about 3 metres under the sea a longish way from the shore.  It was well sand-blasted from rolling around in the bottom sand and rocks, but I was amazed to see through the nearly opaque crystal that the watch was still working!  It must have been lost for quite a while so I admit I kept it with little chance of finding its owner.  I cleaned and hand-polished the case, crystal and steel bracelet but most of the case's silver paint is long gone.  Now only used as my holiday underwater and on-the-beach watch and on its second pair of batteries in 13 years.  I shall be very happy to return the watch to its true owner who identifies the precise location of him/her losing it and he/she quotes me its serial number.  I admire its robustness and complete contrast to my normal watch wearing.

Best

Clive

I'm not usually into G-Shocks, but this one is signed by its Visionary Inventor Kikuo Ibe...

So I hope this pic is not out of place here on a watch forum. Arguably, Mr Ibe is one of the most important watchmakers of his generation (at least by the number of watches produced and creating a whole new genre of wristwatches). (Pic from SJX) ...

The man is a genius!

But, I have a (Blomman) question: the buckle is correct or not? 😉 Best wishes Alkiro

Alkiro, I honestly don't know (this is a first G shock for me)

I got the full set and it's a brand new watch (box, hang tag, papers, etc) so see no reason why the buckle wouldn't be correct. The box is also signed by Mr Ibe as well. Cheers

Your G-Shock....

....with signature is beyond cool. I've liked the hammered models of the last couple of years. Best, John. (not sure who to thank for photos). ...

Cheers!

The hammered versions you show are cool! I am new to this whole G-Shock world. Feels like there is an endless variety of options and models.

Such timing!

I happened to be badly poisoned by gshock recently. Just bought two in quick succession. I'm now trying to find a gshock with excellent finishing, not sure if there is any such pieces. Maybe the made in Japan mtg?

Great to see the face and name . .

I wonder just how many mechanics diving watches would survive under the same conditions.
