Horological Meandering

I think that everyone knows about Antiquorum and Amanico's stolen Lange. Even after reading about that, I thought that I would be able to use them for one transaction to sell a watch. It was stupid of me and, unfortunately, has not turned out well. My Vac... 

I experienced the same with Antiquorum and have never consigned with them since! They eventually paid me almost 5 months after my watch had been sold at Auction... You just have to keep at it and eventually I hope they will succumb.... I even turned up at... 

Just stick with it for now, I suppose. Sigh.

... looks like they don't segregate their customer's money. Very poor practice in terms of fiduciary responsibility.

Lesson learned. Sotheby’s or Christie's in the future.

I had that same problem "twice". I discontinued using them about two years ago.

On my calendar, I had left a note that they had a NY auction for April 27th. Now, listed for June. Also, the Geneva May 14 auction has no catalog and no preview date?

over the last 18 months had an effect on their bottom line?!

I do wish all those who lost either watches or money with them at least regained something, but I do have hope that a dishonest company like them be put out of business.

Late reply - sorry, only just seen the thread. I believe there are now two completely separate companies called "Antiquorum". The Swiss and US sides have split. The Swiss company - responsible for the Geneva, Hong Kong and Monaco auctions - can be found a... 

Because if you look at the .com website, there will be absolutely no mention of the Geneva auction. Whereas if you look at the .swiss website, all the details are there. Note that this is in spite of the .com website still representing itself as being res... 

So that's 3 offices, on 3 continents, that were very much involved in deplorable conduct.

I thought they would be able to get a good price, but it's pointless if they don't pay. Such is life.

For those like me who don't read all the brand forums, see this new post in the Lange Forum . It is about yet another Langematik Anniversary (not Nico's). It seems that PuristsPro enthusiasts continue to have bad experiences with this auction house. I hop... 

And these horror stories will not convince me otherwise anytime soon!

in hodinkee...with all the experiences I see about this firm, I really wonder the legitimacy unless someone is willing to call Mr Putin ;-) have fun guys... Best, mahesh.,
