Next up on the wooden beam: the Girard-Perregaux Chronograph Ref 6557.
In strong sunlight, the sunburst dial almost look like dark silver.
But in reality its more silver - white.
These early (1950s) GP chronographs are very charming, cleaner than the Olimpico's.
Only two sub-dials, no extra printing on the dial.
And the chromed case really makes it shine in the sun!

The 6557 is 0.5mm wider
38mm - while the 8846 is 37.5mm. The case is 1mm lower on the 9557, but the flatter bezel enhance the "thin" look. Best Blomman

The 6557 and the 8862 share the same case...
Differences are on movement + telemetre vs. pulsations scales in blue. Best Blomman
