It is almost incomprehensible for us in Great Britain to imagine a sunny day, let alone one that needed a hat!

And yet, there she was....a glorious sunny day to revel in, accompanied by my sunniest Chopard watch; Mille Miglia 2015 Race Edition based on the GTS Power Control.
It was, if you remember, the first Chopard Mille Miglia with a Chopard movement with efficient winding and a cheeky 'fuel gauge'.

The sun hat was out and we fired up the new motor to a nice country pub.
You've got to admire the Brits....they really know how to celebrate the smallest ray of sunshine.

Chopard Superfast Chrono Porsche 919 Edition
My thoughts turned to another shiny Chopard watch that used to come out in the sun with another 'old girl' -- the SAAB Turbo that just had a beautifying trip to the 'automotive spa'.
She looks like just out of the show room.

As Timekeeping Partner to the Porsche Motorsport Team, Chopard has been issuing special Superfast watch editions since 2014.
The first was 919 pieces of the silver dial Superfast Chrono Porsche 919 Edition.

Next the 100 piece Superfast Chrono Porsche 919 Jacky Ickx edition in 2015 with his famous helmet blue colour.

In 2016, the all black Superfast Chrono Porsche 919 Black edition in black DLC coated titanium and snazzy red highlights was issued in 100 pieces.

Were it not for the nostalgia of Porsche winning the Le Mans race and World Endurance Championship in 2015, when the silver dial Superfast Chrono Porsche 919 edition was current, I would be sorely tempted by this black version because I just like red-on-black chronographs. Also, titanium is a racing engineering material.
LE MANS 2017
This brings us to this year's 24 Hours of Le Mans.
What speculations do we have for the Chopard watch this year?
Will it be another Superfast Chrono Porsche 919 edition?
What materials will they use?
Will it even be a chronograph?
Will it even be a Superfast case?
