The Chopard LUC Sport - a blast from the past

 By: KMII : March 17th, 2017-02:38
The LUC Sport 2000 has been my second LUC watch, and while it is a very different proposition to the LUC Chrono One, it is a very appealing, (almost) universally usable watch. I changed the strap from the original rubber to a blue patterned calfskin one e...

Now getting a canvas strap from Chopard is not possible just yet...

And I will need to check for alternatives, which I admit to not having done so far The strap size - 20/16mm is also not the most standard one, so I guess it will have to be custom made in the end

Thanks!

It has only been with me since last year, so it had little time to accumulate the dings and scrapes of life And I do tend to be moderately careful, too Yours is a real beauty - I just tried out the RG version in the Chopard Boutique about a week ago. It w...

Fully agree!

At that point in time the LUC line was relatively fresh, so small details like this really helped in building it up as a sub-brand IMO.

Agree with you

A versatile watch, indeed.

I am pretty sure you'll get to see it again going forward

I sure hope so.

BTW, I thought of you today as I was passing the Seiko Boutique...

Without for now.

I was so close to pulling the trigger but decided to wait until I see Basel novelties. I really want a GMT, but not a Rolex.

Too busy for my taste.

I want a simple, versatile GMT with independent hand for second time zone.

AFAIK it is independent :)

Did not mean the 24h format of the Time Traveller One...

OK, I got a bit mixed up. [nt]

 By: MTF : March 17th, 2017-09:52
The L.U.C pro One also came with rubber 'Waves' strap... L.U.C Pro One on rubber strap I wonder if you could use the strap on your L.U.C Sport 2000? Regards, MTF ...

Would need to check...

There was a dedicated LUC Chrono Sport rubber strap - not wavy but still textured

What a truly stunning looking watch.

It is in fact so stunning looking IMO that I am trying to add one to my collection tomorrow if all goes to plan. As I find the dial to simply be one of the nicest of any sport watch with so much texture and depth to it. The one I'm hoping to get is a blac...

Keeping fingers crossed, Marc!

Did not know there was a black dialled version - only knew about the blue and the white / silvery one. Looking forward to seeing more of yours here from tomorrow on!
