Leaves Porsche with one option

Aug 09, 2017,10:23 AM

4 times racing in Le Mans from their re-entrance in 2014 until 2018. That is asking for 4 wins, too.=> Guess we will see one more Chopard watch, at least.

In todays world, it is fairly common to come and go. Less longterm commitments.
Formula E will be racing, too. But do they have 24h races? When will the endurance no longer be limited to aspect of battery power?
Yes, it will be racing. But not the same. Therefore, i am predicting a Porsche comeback as we have seen in the past. Maybe.

Not maybe but most certainly: best regards

... on the background of the Diesel and cartel scandals they need to get ready for the future, which happens to be electric. Also, the amount of money they have to pay in fines and recalls to fix the Diesel emission problems is huge, so they need to stop ...

Maybe Chopard will have to go quartz?

More seriously, following the dieselgate, VAG clearly must put their effort on changing their image. Sarcastically, it will give a change to Toyota in the 24hrs... I am sure Chopard will follow the adventure with Porsche, they are intrinsically connected ...

For Mille Miglia Race Edition 1996, Chopard produced a hybrid display chronograph. Mille Miglia 1996 Race Edition There is no reason why Chopard cannot put hybrid watches into production if they provide significant innovation and function e.g. Multifuncti...

... that is a nice route to follow, but you need years of r&d. Maybe superquartz could be enough, but it ultimately depends on the selling price. Best, É.

That's an interesting development, even if not fully surprising...

As mentioned, there are many issues at the moment that need urgent attention. As for Chopard, this does not have to mean a change of partner. There will likely still be participation in various race series from GT to Formula E, so the potential remains......

The thing to watch will be the possible buyers of high end watches in the future. There is a clear link between the fact that as well a mechanical watch and a mechanical watch starts to be part of an area that comes to an end if talk about high volumes. O...

In a recent interview with Mr K-F Scheufele about Porsche Motorsport sponsorship

 By: MTF : August 14th, 2017-15:56
I asked Mr KFS about Chopard support for Porsche Motorsport before the announcement of the switch to Formula E. Read the Interview He said: "While we like to be associated with winners, of course, we will always support a great team even if it does not en...
