bodes well for Cartier as not only the fact that their vintage pieces are still being treasured by collectors evidenced by the interest and pricing but more so the fact that said collectors TRUST the manufacture to be able to service these pieces hence wi...

and they can do almost anything, including remaking movement parts, gold cases and resetting precious stones. Remaking dials is a bit tougher though. - SJX

Martin, why do most of these high end companies not excel at production of both? Are the mechanisms/movements that drive watches and clocks very different, or do most companies just choose to focus on one or the other. I would be interested if you know. T...

You really have to tool up to make clocks and this is not an easy task. Setting up a clock production line takes as much as making a watch production line. Cartier is one of the few brands that still make high quality clocks, they other that comes to mind...
