Back In Rotation - Marine 5823

This is the first watch that utterly wowed me.

I remember the sales associate opening the box and I honestly could not believe how substantial and well finished this watch was.
I was really a collecting novice at the time so perhaps I was a bit more impressionable but to this day this remains my favorite watch.
Some would argue that a chronograph in a more classical  style is wrong but the blend of these two styles is unique.

This piece was been in Switerzland for the last 4 months as It did need to be serviced in the warranty period.
But the repair process was seemless and the watch came back looking brand new.
So this is my first full week with it back in action.

So here are a few pictures; the watch is difficult to photograph as there is no AR coating and black guicholle makes focusing a challenge, but I still think the beauty of this piece is apparent.

Well perhaps I spoke too soon. Woke up this morning and found the watch stopped overnight. I had been wearing every day for the last seven; full wind at start; not low activity days as I walked 3 miles twice. Interested in the experience of any others but...

That's a gorgeous watch!

I was inspired by your watch and ended up with a wg version as I love the blued hands. I'll see how it holds up, although yours has a slightly more advanced version of the movement with silicon pallets.

I have had similar experiences with a different brand; it involved a trip back to CH, I'm afraid

I think you should wind it up again and give it another try - mine also stopped after 5 days in Manhattan as a tourist=my feet were always tired but I'm not sure how much my arms moved. Good luck. Cazalea

That is really a beautiful breguet I love it

Hope the stopping issue is just a matter of underwinding
