This is a lovely looking watch!

I actually bought one in 1996 but much to my dissatisfaction, it kept really bad time ie a daily tolerance in excess of ten seconds a day. In fact, most Blancpains from the 90s (pre Swatch group ownership) did not keep good time despite its long and illustrious city. I owned three Blancpains in the 90s as I loved their dial and discreet Arabic numerals. I contacted the then Sales Director who had personally sold me one of my three Blancpains and he too admitted they had an issue with daily tolerance. So if you do not mind having a tourbillon that is not particularly accurate, then, this is a lovely looking watch to have. But as we all know, the tourbillon was designed to overcome gravitational issues and make the watch more accurate which unfortunately is not reflected in the Blancpain.

Blancpain Villeret Tourbillon 0023 a young timer ?

Good morning ! I am a big fan of Blancpain and own several of them... I just hesitate about purchasing this "Young timer" Blancpain Tourbillon. It made me dream when I was 20 years old but know even it is still a beautiful piece, it is quite small (33mm) ...

It seems your dream has a little bit faded and I understand your thoughts about its case size. At one time, I was tempted by this lovely Blancpain with its Tourbillon and its really cool 8 days power reserve. But, when I calmed down, I thought to its size...

Clever thoughts

Yes its size is really small even if I have a small wrist... In fact I have the opportunity to trade this tourbillon with my L&S Saxomat + 7800 €. Good deal I think... The 2125 is nice but not in the same league (about the $$$$). Beside this I think the t...

We can't talk about prices here (forum rules) so I won't comment your possible trade

No worries 😉

A killer watch from Vincent Calabrese for Blancpain

Not bothered by size at all

But I'm a vintage fan, when small was sophisticated and discrete, like this tourbillon BP...I love ❤️ it!

Thanks ! I will go for it so just need to find out the perfect piece, not too expensive and with B&P !
