New MIL-SPEC in Person

Jul 28, 2017,16:35 PM

While nothing can replace the original, I think this Tribute piece has its own place in Blancpain history. With some speed, good fortune, and great service at my local Blancpain boutique I think I have the first commercially shipped MIL-SPEC in the US according to the dealer. I will provide detailed pictures and a thorough review in the coming days but want to share a few quick shots. My initial reaction is ...wow. Perfect size. Extremely comfortable, the heritage details are well executed but with a modern aesthetic and the lume is incredible.

A wonderfully executed tribute.

Congratulations on the new acquisition, and wear it in great health.

One observation...

... to me the lugs are too mighty for the sailcloth strap, that clearly visible gap probably will not be the case with the Nato strap and obviously not with the bracelet. It must be a pleasure to be a first happy owner, though Enjoy! Cheers Henrik

Killer piece
