For me...

I would go with Melvyns comments about going after the weekend.   I have gone to Basel for quite a few years now and now go for most of the week to catch up with both collector and brand friends, up until the weekend everyone is running around like crazy to please the journalists and various media who is in town.

Forget the weekend if you can, it is full of non-watch people just going to have a look in the Rolex windows and collect catalogues.  On Monday, it is far more relaxed, people have far more time and you can see the watches and chat to people easier.

Just my opinion, any day is good as it is still Basel!!!

Cheers
Andrew

Best Day to Visit Basel World

As a general admission visitor, which is the best day to visit the Basel World exhibition? Preference would be for smaller crowds, but access to view all the novelties. [Photo added by moderator] ...

It's just my opinion

descartes1, As a general visitor, I think the second-last day is the quietest as it is a weekday and most of the media people have left. if you don't need to see the celebrities, actors or brand CEOs, the last Monday - Wednesday of the show is quiet. Rega...

Thanks. That's helpful. [nt]

Best wishes Alkiro

I believe the best days to go to the exhibition are the first days

Be careful about the hotels in Basel, it is 90% full for the week each time and airbnb more expansive that the rest of the year

Agree regarding hotels

I went last year and made the decision to go only a week or so in advance. The hotel and AirBnB options by that point were miserable. I ended up flying into Zurich the night before and staying at one of the airport hotels. I took a train to Basel the next...

For me...

I\'m now thinking its best to go AFTER the opening weekend when it is more calm and time can be taken to really see things.
