Spotted: Old & Shiny, Part 1

Jul 20, 2017,17:04 PM

I took my wife out to lunch today at John's. our favorite fish & chips place.

While we were in that area, we decided to cross the tracks and go into a more rural neighborhood, looking for nice cars.

What we found BLUE ME AWAY!

I love the chains holding the rear axle so it won't come out when you go over a bump

This nice 66-67 Chevy II Nova was right across from the low-high Cadillac

Two blocks away was a body shop. We saw nice cars inside and asked if we could come in with the camera. We were blown away again!
First this Chevelle Super Sport 396 about 1966-67 (50 years ago!)

Lurking on the other side of the drive was a 1957 Chevy Fuel Injection Coupe low rider.

Gorgeous! There were 3 guys polishing it but they jumped out of the way during the photos.

And look in the background - a Vette; in the foreground another 57!

This yellow one is for sale - if you are interested contact me.

Outside next door we saw some Dagmar Bumpers and snuck this shot across the parking lot

Down the road a piece we saw this nice pair of Chevys - the pickup and the El Camino (are you watching, Bill?)

Here's a rare El Camino SS though not so shiny.

Another beautiful truck behind the gates ...

Another grinning Cadillac with giant kabumbas

I decided to cut this report into two. If you don't mind similar cars that aren't this shiny, please come along for the rest of the ride.

Love the 1951 cadillac coupe in the last pic as well as the 1957/1958 convertible, also special mention to the 1967 ch'velle ss 396 and the nova which have been kept in their original shape. Not fan of the 1979 1981 caddy low rider, less fan of restored B...

Great cars! [nt]
