Bentley Continental Supersports - world's fastest 4-seat car

Jan 08, 2017,12:07 PM

Here's the new 2nd generation Bentley Continental Supersports that will be coming out soon.  Bentley claims it to be the world's fastest 4-sear car.  It'll also be available in convertible too.

0-60 in 3.4 seconds with a top speed of 209 mph.

Twin-turbo W12 with 700 bhp!

Below are pictures and a ~10 minute video with exhaust sound & interview with designers.

I love it because it seats 4 now and is even faster than the 2-seater Continental GT3-R!

Cheers,
Anthony

Best wishes Alkiro

The rear is the only part I dont like about the Bentley Continental

Ive always thought they could vastly improve the look of the boot!

Bentley Continental

I agree - it cheapens and disfigures the rear. Also the delicate structure of the aerofoil mounts indicates that it is not that effective - just a "boy racer" accessory! Best Clive

superb

Wonderful car this Bentley. I tend towards the forth coming Mercedes E63s. AMG. 0 to 60mph 3.3 secs. 603 BHP! What views on my forth coming Seiko Baby Tuna Automatic??? ...

I am sure the spoiler has a purpose but it should have been automatically operated

rather than fixed. I don't like the "supersports" badge either. A car of this status should be discreet. The design and performance should tell the story not the badge.

I do not understand why they are releasing this car now.

A new version of the Continental GT will be introduced later this year. I do miss my GT Speed, it was the most comfortable car I ever owned.

I actually like the less powerful V8S version more! Call me crazy...

Many will disagree, but I actually find the V8S to be my favorite in the Bentley Continental GT line up. The V8S has some noticeable handling benefits, a lowered suspension, a sport-tuned (but still comfortable and not out-of-character) suspension, and st...

I still prefer the silky V12, it is quieter and smoother.

The 8 does have a great rumble.

True!

The W12 is smoother. But you've got to try the Rolls Royce Wraith. The way that thing drives almost requires a new word other than "drive." The Wraith is my favorite!

I really like the way the Wraith drives, feels much smaller than it is.

Just wish it was actually smaller.

It's only 208 inches... an S500 Mercedes is 206.5 inches...

But yeah, it has a hard time fitting in my garage.

I consent

Have not tried the V8S but it all sounds much more "sensible" than the entire Bentley range, which at more show off cars than anything else. Stopping every 3 - 400 km for fuel makes it hardly a GT ... I admit they all look nice but any German rival beats ...

The German rivals are very good...

 By: patrick_y : January 10th, 2017-00:02
The German rivals are good, much more practical, and easier to own and service. But the German rivals are about mass production and not about craftsmanship in certain aspects. The paint quality on an equally expensive Mercedes S65 AMG has a terrible orang...

prior to the existence of the Bentley Continental the CL had some very cheap looking fittings (the seat adjustment buttons were simple, thin black plastic parts and unacceptable) and was also quite small. But Mercedes got away with it as there was no real...

Agreed...

The CL is a super advanced car. In the USA Market, most CLs have the ABC fully active hydraulic oil suspension (unless you get an AWD model which have the AIRMATIC suspension) which is prone to a lot of trouble, especially the 2000-2006 model year CL mode...

It only keeps getting better.
