Yes, 39 anniversary had the week feature...

I'm all in for the week feature if it must be a 41mm (prefer the 39mm size) but make it perpetual with 53 weeks... and speaking of 39mm skeletons this example is for me best watch ever produced... 39mm, RO perpetual, tantalum and platinum... I know how hard is to work with tantalum, but it is really special and grand maison that love to push boundaries like AP must use it...

Hi all, Amidst the news of the JM Perpetual Calendar release, there was a slightly hidden but significant announcement that the JM would be the last model to house the 5134 movement. It struck me minimally in the beginning, but if you think about all of t...

This reference is perhaps the most sought after PC with the movement

I still prefer your ceramic with the solid dial. However, this openworked has to be one of AP's most visually striking timepieces ever. Thanks for this post, Peter!

Ahh yes the first iteration in black ceramic

Was a breakthrough. I do regret a little bit letting it go - but I had purchased that original piece grey market, so had no qualms given the provenance. Don't know if they ever blacklisted the original owner/flipper. Now I am all about provenance... If an...

Indeed...an end of an era...

in 39mm it didn't have the week indicator so we could talk about a watch that will need adjustment in about 80 years... with the wrong 52 week track it need adjustment every 5-6 years... Can't wait for the next one... my favorite complication and one of t...

Ahh good point!

The other search I have is a perfect 25829 in any metal. Has been a dream watch since the beginning of my AP watch collecting journey. The week indicator was always an interesting feature - I recall it was also introduced in the 120th anniversary RO QP 25...

I would love to see a BMG / Titanium / Tantalum skeleton perpetual with whatever new movement they put on. It's a little bit of a shame they have only done the Black and Brown ceramic skeletonized with the 5134 base, so I am really really crossing fingers...

BMG will be a nice addition...

Agree on better WR and PR... and I know they will not make it 39 because that is reserved for Jumbo only from now... and speaking of skeleton in metal they made piece unique in platinum for Austen during his "romance" phase with FHB... and then suddenly a...

And just as this was posted...

A nice quote from a recent interview with Ilaria Resta from Revolution magazine... "That is why this [the John Mayer edition] is the last QP, because soon there will be a new QP that is part of the future. If there is one complication that symbolizes our ...
