A decidedly casual watch, due to size and height, as well as design. It doesn't fit under your cuff, and so doesn't fit with black tie. I'd opt for a different option here.

it does fit under the cuff but you are correct as a slim gold dress watch still fits the best for this attire. Code is its own idiosyncratic thing (hence the many opinions
