I have not worn this in a little bit, the date needs correcting. But to try this on after 1 day, 1 week, 1 whatever... the special feeling returns every time. ...  

And really that is the only reason I do not wear my Jumbo every day. And I enjoy some others very much, but if I could only choose a single piece... this is it for me.

If I was told to sell all but one, the jumbo would be the keeper.

I mostly chose the holster for the nice color contrast to the 15202's dark blue dial. It is a Milt Sparks HSR w/ cowhide lining and decorative stitching. Inside, an old 28-2 6" Highway Patrolman with original Combat wood grips. Familiar with this model? C... 

... the nicest AP. I adore mine. But I deeply regret the relationship between nice watches and fire guns that is often made on the forums. Very sad.

... I know what you are talking about. I own myself a model 28 with 6" bbl too. (as well as its brother models 27 and 29). The HP is a very nice gun with same fine characteristics of the famous 27 but with a lower finish as it was intended for Police use,... 

How Purist is the Highway Patrolman model? Manufactured to be less expensive for law enforcement, but with a finish much blacker and more durable than a more expensive bluing? Right up our alleys! And more rare, yet still accessible. Our kind of piece.

... lower price. Of course the Model 27 (Specially the blued versions pre 1990´s ) is a Masterpiece: polish, bluing, checkering of upper part of frame, checkering of back of rear sight, and butter smooth mechanism makes for a delight to use it for Target ... 

My absolute favorite AP even if changing the date is a pain.

And agree ;-) The winding tool does make the date change much easier, but still, not the same as most quick adjustment movements. Part of the old Jumbo charm though.

Does AP Clearwater sell the winding tool?

It has 3 or 4 different crown sizes. I imagine somebody must offer an after market version?
