Gone for service
Feb 08, 2017,09:54 AM
A few weeks back, I found a Porsche 919 left at the Porsche garage for service.
Today, I left my 919 in the hands of the trusted Chopard boutique.
Just about two years in my possession and actually not used that often, the engine did no longer start.
I was observing a weak amplitude over several weeks but did not want to believe that in its almost new condition it would need any intervention. It still kept time quite well until last week, when the watch wouldn't start no matter how much power was given to the fuel tank.
Hoping for a speedy return time, I will have to browse through some picures meanwhile.
Cheers

I recall seeing one in Las Vegas a few months ago. So it is not nearly old enough to just stop working. I hope they take good care of you, and cover all of the related service expenses.

A Roger Dubuis Much More crown broke off during winding test in the showroom...first few turns...not even wound fully. I still bought the watch (limited edition, nice serial number, matching dial to the current Mrs MTF's Roger Dubuis Too Much). Sent back ...
At the time I owned multiple watches from all three brands

But I have to admit that after further failures of more Roger Dubuis and especially FP Journe (90%) pieces, I did eventually sell off all of them (after factory repair) in a batch. Roger Dubuis under Richemont management is a different, improved brand for...

Patience and calmness seem to be very useful characteristics for a collectior of mechanical watches
