One of my favourite statues (5975P inside)
May 28, 2016,06:29 AM
But Sir Winston does not have a wristwatch. Why?
This sign is next to the statue.
The statues was made among other things to remind about the friendship of UK and US during WW II.
If Sir Winston could wear a modern watch fitting with the past atmosphere of the wartime, it would in my opinion be this.
This makes me smile!
Best, Kari

It's very dark grey with off-white stitching. I'm waiting other straps to come. I also changed the "Anniversary Clasp" to a standard platinum folding clasp. It feels much better like that. Best, Kari

Winston Churchill's watch
By: chippytime : May 28th, 2016-07:38
I do not think Winston Churchill wore a wrist watch. Here is a picture of the gold pocket watch he wore (found on the internet), apparently now owned by his grandson. The large watch was affectionately known as "the turnip". Best Clive Nick-named 'The tur...

Anyhow, much better for the purpose than my 5975P. That's also a wonderful watch but I can't see it as a watch of a GT car. Best, Kari

This 5975 has one of the most beautiful and interesting cases that Patek has created during the last 20 years IMHO. And I love this dial, completely coherent as a measurement instrument (max 1 minute) and unusual display in watchmaking. Huge congratulatio...
I know...

But I thought that Sir Winston would have liked a watch which can measure the distance to the enemy's artillery. Naturally, not as much as a good glass of whisky. Best, Kari
