i'm not sure i'd have taken a platinum PP on holiday, but its got the correct complication for holidaying abroad. looks like you've had good weather. best Graham
i've got one myself, it has a much different character to the speedy being smaller with no dark bezel. a great watch. to go into more detail about the movement. Omega have always used Lemania to make their chronograph movements so until you get to the 90'...
hi graham appreciate your feedback on the movement. your watch seems to be in great shape---did you acquire it brand new?how did you maintain it---great dial! i bought mine in 1970 and truth to be said have subjected it to the ravages of swimming in the a...
hi Henry, rather than write it all over again i've attached this link to my original post on it http://omega.watchprosite.com/?show=forumpost&ti=507391&fi=677&s=0 if you have a problem viewing the link then it dates from 27th march 2009. best Graham
hi graham managed to read your post---very intersting. i have two questions----the crown on your seamaster appears to be bigger than on mine.i raise this point because many years ago when i serviced the watch, they raplaced it with a bigger crown.subsequen...
Henry, glad you enjoyed my post. my watch is now back to totally original condition. i didnt take much notice of the crown as my watchmaker is ex Omega so would have left/put on the correct one. mine is a seamaster so the caseback is marked waterproof and...
Seeing as others seem to be in holiday mode, more pics from the Gold Coast: IWC Tourbillon ... Shooting the rapids ... Swimming with the dolphins ... Away with the birdies ......
Hi Andrew, thanks for your lovely photos from the fun park! My family and I have been to the same one in 2007 while visiting our friends from Toowoomba in "down under". We also did the rafting bit and I still remember queueing ever so long for the rollerc...
The tourbillon looked quite innocuous till I made the mistake of getting on it. The automatic IWC was fully wound by the end I think! You need to avoid local school holiday periods as it can get quite busy. They also have a new system called "Q4U" whereby...
Hi Andrew, I had not regarded this device your way: as a sort of big winder for watch enthusiasts and their automatic watches ! Actually we have been there mid-week, out of the holiday season and yet is was crowded. But the "Q4U" sounds like a good idea b...
After the Wipeout and the Tourbillon, this watch enthusiast and his automatic timepiece were somewhat overwound and needed a rest. Getting too old I fear. Having grown up here our kids get plenty of opportunity to feed the roos, so this wasn't such a nove...
dont you find it interesting that most holidays with young kids also involve water in some form. i look back on 2 marriages and 21 years of bringing up children and i think all holidays were near the seaside and water parks. ah memories... best Graham
Wearing this one today, as I did on tuesday when I took these pictures, and as I have been for about 50% of the last four months. Got a chance to check its accuracy againt a handy standard. Performing well... Richard....
I love this clean Nautilus. There have been some of Chronograph etc versions lately, but I think the Nautilus should be as clean as yours. Everything added to the dial somehow disturbs the wonderful lines. Best, Martin
Have I not seen him before? Not the first time he is holding on to your watches I think. He is very beautiful! (the IWC is also quite cool - hope you win the battle ) Nikolaj
i hope today was successful and the french taxman has been saved the cost of paying for someones incarceration. your success must save the taxpayer millions best Graham
Hi, Andrew! I must confess that everytime I see pictures of your 5513 my heart misses a beat. Simply gorgeous patina and incommensurable charm. Have a great weeked, Alex
I know you have a soft spot for these Rolex too. The 1675 is on my list at some stage, and you have a very nice example as well. It is certainly that 'popcorn patina' that makes it special. Andrew
Hi, Andrew! Your comments are much too kind. Let's hope that you will find a lovely 1675 to give a warm companion to your 5513. Here's a quick and bad pictures of mine, and I am also wearing a la Graham another watch in my right wrist which I am sure you ...
As per our designer in chief Luc's special request here is my "Every boy wants to become an astronaut but only a few get the chance" watch of the week. Have a great weekend everybody! Martin...
also this has just arrived back from service and new glass so i'll be wearing it on my right wrist for a couple of days. i didnt have the case refinished so ignore the scratches. HAGWE Graham...
this combo is just for you Art. your favourite watch on your favourite leather. i'll be honest, this is possibly the best look for the railmaster that i've had. better even than the stingray. its the military look of the dial that does it. best Me
'if' i can get there i most certainly will. this Icelandic volvano has shut down all airports and some people say it could carry on spewing dust for up to 2 years or more. best G
... now i see .. what a strap .... I saw a railmaster for the first time last moday ... what a beast , i didn't know ... Also congrats on that beautifull Seamaster 600, is that the same case a my seamaster 30 ? Ze Bim
its a shame that 500 miles and an expensive and currently packed tunnel train are between us as you really need to see this strap in person to appreciate how good it is. for me it was expensive, but as we discussed it suits 6 or more watches. its supple, ...
Today I am enjoying my coffee much more that what’s on my wrist. Well, I am now going to have time to look at my Time. Jaeger-LeCoultre Atmos 561, resting on a specially prepared shelf which has been polished brilliant to get a special mirroring and refle...
Atmos are a perfect sample of simple science Right now I prefer the more modern versions. To me an Atmos remains an Atmos and they are fabulous to look at them so mysteriously functioning. Many thanks for your kind post. PoyFr
Fantastic picture, my friend. This is the kind of photo which makes me really think about includeing a Newson in my collection. NOW, I'm JEALOUS! Best, Nicolas
My lonely and poor, by this forum standards, "white" 1680 (circa 1979): The wrist belongs, of course, to my granddaughter. Sort of a miracle that she stopped for the picture and, better, the watch survived the process. Cheers, Nilo...
...Is by no mean a low standard watch. I believe it is one of the really really nice ones. Doesnt have to be red to fit here :--) Congratulations Nilo on the watch and on your granddoughter Cheers Hans
my 2 year old son immediately named it "Robot Watch" and MCM became his instant favorite.. Soft spot for alarm watches can be inhereted genetically, JLC owners beware! joke aside, this is the watch that introduced JLC brand to me a few years ago. Before I...
I love the MC Memovox. It's a solid-feeling watch on the wrist. I've toyed with picking one up, but with the new dressier Memovox just having been released, there are now other options that must be weighed against this model. Still, I really love the watc...
Looks like work is going to be more work-like today, so no good wearing a large pristine watch. Time for something snug and sleek to fit under the long sleeves. Can one change one's mind regarding watch-wearing? Or watch-posting? Have a good weekend. Mike...
I'll buy one like that to join the two Manatees, the Megapode and the Seaslug. I was lurking on the Platypus, but it never saw the light, a pity. Vte :)
... just got my vintage JLC Memovox back from servicing. it is now running very strong, alarm is so loud and can last for 20 seconds long. amazing indeed! have a nice weekend ahead and hope all of my friends in Europe are well despite of volcanic eruption...
This is a pure nightmare.... Planes are stuck on the ground till tomorrow, in France...And nothing is sure. Surrealistic. But, with a beauty like yours, we certainly feel better! Best, Nicolas
Here's mine: Soory, the photo quality does not at all live up to the standard this Friday - but it is a pretty darn difficult angle to shoot yourself... HAGWE! Nikolaj (stranded in Delhi due to ash clouds)...
Hi Graham, The moon was only referring to the hairstyle (or lack of same ) I'm sure you know the watch but here's another and slightly more clear shot (still cell phone though): best Nikolaj...

As you said, its uncommonly handsome. A really nice and awesome watch. You would must add this MK II into your collection, or a vintage Benrus Type I or II. Its a really impressive hunt. thanks for your kind words, Arturo HAGWEE Emilio
