Well done Frank.....

Not sure if you will wear this one everyday but if you do, one thing is for sure....... It will look totally different from the photo seen here. That is the beauty of the bronze. A spot is not a blemish or detraction but more your own unique identification & DNA of the watch. You are right the simplistic design & overall clean dial look great. You are also right about the warm feeling fuzzy feeling it gives you when its on your wrist! Look forward too seeing some more photos in 6 months time.

Hi - Received my first ever Zenith today - have been eyeing the Extra Special bronze for some time. Absolutely love it. I know the bronze will patina and discolor over time, but I have a question: on my case where the lugs attach (and on the lugs themselv...

Curious as to whether the dark discoloration around the case/lug area is normal. Again, I understand the bronze will discolor over time, but just wanted to check on the discoloration I'm seeing. I haven't seen this level of discoloration on other Extra Sp...

first, a very warm welcome here; second, congratulations to your new Zenith Extra Special Bronze - it is one of the highlights of all watches presented last year, and this not only for me. As to the discolouration around the lugs. Now, the case is pre-pat...

Thank you for the warm welcome and information! I've got a call into my AD - they're super-solid and have taken care of me in the past. Thanks, Frank

Congratulations Frank!

I love the bronze... its an amazing watch! As Magnus has said the patina look on the case it is a manual process done by Zenith so each one is different and unique! I think it is then coated to stop the patina process from getting any stronger... I maybe ...

So, as always, my AD took great care of me. The patina on the watches are all different. Net-net, Topper took great care of me and I'm happy. Thanks, Frank

I simply liked the replacement watch better, recognizing it will change over time. All my other watches are tool watches, so the Pilot is very different - very warm and just very balanced.

OK - pictures of the replacement watch attached. Sme things I've noticed 1. I like both watches - I think I just like this replacement one *more*… One of the lugs has a dark spot underneath where it attaches to the case (and on the lug itself); however, I...

this is one of the best looking pilot watches around. The black patina you have around the lugs is very normal. I've seen some new pieces similar to yours. That piece will look fabulous in a couple years. Wear it in the best of health. Here's one photo I ...

One More Thing...

I've had the watch for 2.5 days and I set it to the atomic time clock when I received it…Amazingly, it is still spot-on! I know 2 days does not a test make; however, I'm (pleasantly) surprised!
