FlightMaster on foot

Despite the chaos of life nowadays, I still get inspired when I see a sunrise like this while I am making my morning cup of tea:

After an hour on the phone to the UK transacting some business and catching up with old friends, I strapped on my FlightMaster, grabbed my wife's hand, and headed out for the morning Seiko walk.

The buildings on the right, across the river, are the PE department at the high school where she used to teach.

Eventually this river runs into the bay, and on to the Pacific Ocean through the channel we walked along yesterday in the dense fog.

We walked across a baseball field, around some tennis courts, past the golf course, through an RV park and ended up at another corner of the bay.

Where we found an albino Rat Rod. I love the audacity of that tiny back window!

I wanted to get the little bird in the foreground but didn't have my telephoto lens -- I can't help it if all that stuff in the background is distracting...

Anyway, these morning walks give me plenty of distractions from mundane things like this careful "no contact" Fedex delivery of my new high-tech steam oven...

THUD on sidewalk, PING on phone, open door to find this sight. Let's hope it works when unpacked!

Cheers and let's get those Seikos out of the drawer and onto our wrists!

Sure it helps to keep calm in a crazy world. Are you waiting for a new watch? A new barbecue grill? A piece for a car restoration? Best regards. René
