Piaget and Pinel&Pinel Trunk
When two prestigious Houses crossed paths, the combination of their creative talents and their skills result in an exceptional objet d’art: the trunk dedicated to watch collectors and signed Piaget and Pinel&Pinel.
Designed and crafted by the Parisian trunk maker Pinel&Pinel, this trunk is much more than an objet d’art: it is a temple admirably enshrining Piaget’s passion, excellence, innovative taste and creative inspiration.
51 timepieces can find a stage-setting, in which, to glow in full splendour. Your 15 most beautiful models may be placed in 15 lighted alcoves. The central alcove is equipped with a rotor mechanism designed to wind mechanical watches. The latter has been programmed not to overwind movements, thereby avoiding any potential damage to a high-precision mechanical movement and instead leaving an owner secure in the knowledge that his watch is always on time.
This finely crafted trunk with its inimitably soft feel is the culmination of more than 800 hours of work and is clothed in the noblest materials both inside and out: full grain calfskin leather for the exterior, mirror-polished nickel-plated brass for the hinges, knobs and name plates.
Thanks to its wheels, it enjoys playing the nomad and can accompany its owner wherever he goes. Inside its door, a fold-away flap houses a discreet mirror for trying on watches.
A mini travel trunk that can also accommodate three watches is housed in the last drawer of the trunk, along with collector’s tools such as a loupe and gloves.
