Piaget Emperador Coussin Moonphase

Hi All,

Carrying on from my recent visit to a Piaget Boutique I also tried on an alternative dress watch, the Emperador Coussin (cushion) Moonphase in RG.

Actually this watch caught my eye because I recalled the Piece Unique that was produced for Only Watch 2009 that featured Neil Armstrong's footprint on the moon disk. This watch of course commemorated the 40th Anniversary of the Apollo 11 moon landing. Despite the lack of footprint (I wonder who has that watch), the regular production piece is still stunning. The same RG 46.5mm case and superb blue dial with applied hour markers, the automatic Cal. 860P in-house movement and the enchanting moonphase. I gather that each moondisk is unique anyway, because the manufacturing process means that no two discs are alike.

What do you think?

Andrew
