Hi All,
Do any of you Patek enthhusiast and collectors have experience in buying a watch at Patek Authorised Dealer in Switzerland and bring it back to USA through US Customs.
How much duty should I expect to pay?
The watch I am interested in comes with an alligator strap.
Does that create any issue due to CITES ( Convention on International Trade In Endangered Species) since alligator and crocodiles are considered endangered spesies.

If the strap is an issue, have the watch sent without
the strap. Years ago, HSWA received watches from Patek without straps and buckles, they were installed stateside. Then, alligator straps could take far longer to clear customs causing delays in delivery.

Excellent watch and great choice. Has always been popular with collectors. I myself owned the white gold version for a short time.
