PP 3940 Roman dial question...
Hello friends. I'm looking to purchase a "previously loved" pp 3940. I came across this 3940j with a white dial and roman numerals. It looked so different initially that I didn't even recognize it as a 3940...
A few questions for you. I did look around the forum but didn't find these answers...
1) Is the dial porcelain?
2) It's clearly not hand painted numerals, but is it printed enamel?
3) Is the moon phase background also black?
Now for a few questions without easy answer... what's your thought of this variant? It's growing on me... my wife for one says she likes this better than the standard dial.
Some say this is not good for investing because most don't prefer this. I buy watch to enjoy and wear, but I do think about investing as well. But given the 3940 is such a heavily produced model I would guess the dial, even if fewer, is still a lot so would not affect value much.
What do you good folks think?
