5960p question about strap change

 

Folks,

Have a quick question. My 5130p has a case where the underside of the lugs have a pin that makes it easier to change the strap. I haven't changed the strap but it looks like I don't need a special tool to change it. Am thinking about adding the 5960p to my collection and I was wondering if it also has this interesting innovation? Would anyone current owner be able to tell me? Perhaps 2008 versions?

I noticed the last one I saw at an AD had the quick change pins. However, mine (purchased Jan/2009) does not have them!

They come with the regular pushpin from Patek. I purchased a blue PP strap from mine at an AD and that one had the quick change system. I don't know why they don't come with them from the factory, but they should!

ANY watch can use this adaptation, you can even rig an old style yourself if careful not to hack it up. Most likely will all be this way after puging old stock.
