This is a small ref. 2494 from 1955.
I love the watch and especially the big crown. Watch is easy to wind. I have a 1974 ref. 3420 at the same size, but the crown is so much smaller - crazy that 20 years should make things worse. Well, I have a question. Looking at the crown on my 1955 watch makes me wonder if the crown is original for the watch ( or a later service crown ). Should a crown from 1955 be the "PP" crown or "Calatrava"? Looking at other PP watches from 1955 they have the "PP" crown and mine has the "Calatrava" crown. Anyone who knows when PP used the "PP" crown?
PS I have a NOS dial and NOS hands for this watch, but have no intention to change - am I crazy?

If it was mine , I would change the dial Hands look OK ??minute hand too long though? Crown is replacement and I would try a get a patek crown Lovely watch Julian

Not sure of the date that pp changed their crown and added the calatrava cross If you are thinking of a double pp crown that was only for automatic models

Did not know that. I could ask Patek about the years they used the double PP crown.
