Ref 5022, is it considered an officer's watch?
I have come across this particular watch as being referred to as an officer's watch, despite it not having a hinged caseback cover and that springbars are used instead of the screw-in type.
How apt is association versus that of the 5053? The similarities seem only to be the Arabic font used and the lug design that follows the 5053. I don't find the 5119 and 5120 being associated in the same manner if case design is the important consideration.

but did Patek Philippe ever called the 5022 an officer's watch as some other do? If not, why such similarities to the 5053? A different price point entry or something else? I love the aesthetics of this dial design and I may have the chance to get one som...
