Ref. 3438? Circa 1960?
It looks like this may be a reference 3438 (circa 1960) based on the link:

Unfortunately, the production date doesn't agree to when I believe the watch was purchased, but the purchase date information could be erroneous. Also, this would indicate that the movement is not the 12/600 but the 27/460. Although the serial number indicates production was at about the transition between the 12/600 and 24/460.
Any thoughts?
