Rare Patek....
I know the use of 'rare" sparks off a heated debate normally on what is and what isn't rare but in terms of vintage Pateks and non-complication design references this one in my book is rare and I would like to share it....
It is a reference 2546 from 1954 in YG with a 10' 200 lever escapement movement.
I've been on the look out for one of these for over 6 years (I collect vintage Pateks from a design perspective) and it has been difficult to come by...there hasn't been one at Auction for the last 5 years at least and I'm reliably informed that there are less than a dozen in existence in both YG or RG.
Due to the most unusual lugs it throws the light all over and this accentuates the beauty of the watch and it is very difficult to photograph.
Enjoy and thanks for looking!
