During this long weekend and with Thailand πΉπ now opened for tourism, a GTG was the natural way to celebrate improving times. Pre-pandemic we used to meet regular more often, but since 2020, we have not seen each other for a long time!
With both friends being passionate about hand made dials, the theme was enamel rare handcrafts. I had on my green 5077/101G-001 whereas my friend had on 5738/50G-017.
The 5077 was from the 2018 collection and I waited 2 years which was totally worth it ! The dial contains eleven 4-leaf clovers while the dauphine hands are engraved with a cork screw pattern. Earlier posts on this watch:
My friendβs 5738 is an ellipse from the 2021 collection with an enamel dial depicting medieval ornaments. Apparently the pattern is inspired by manuscripts of ancient periods in which similar illustrations were seen, such as knights riding in snails. Instead of knights, Patek chose to use plants like reed for this dial.
Personally I enjoy the cloves π more because of the green dial and my superstition that the cloves will bring me more luck π ! What are your thoughts ?

GTG with rare handcrafts ! Each piece is a rare bird π¦ in its own right , but two together is just epic ! Personally I like your piece more because the cloves simply convey good luck/fortune and the hands are unbelievably lovely !
