5059 is the acme of Patek automatic perpetual
with a seconds hand.
Those based on caliber 240Q (i.e., the forever 3940, 5040, 5038, 5039) have no seconds hand.
IMHO, the 5059 is a par above the 240Q based perpetual, although it wears thicker on the wrist.
Having said, one must admit from the aesthetic point of view, the 240Q caliber based perpetuals are the most elegant!
