Just my own opinion. I totally agree on a general rule that street price should not be discussed.
However, the buying experience contributes a lot when I buy a watch, not the watch itself. (At least for me). So, it should be more flexible in discuss on MRSP, (Whether we think it is high or not, value for money). How AD is treating customers? For example, when I walk in the Paris shop, London shop or Hong Kong shop, I can tell you that it is not the same.
I saw topic that was locked because discussion may go nowhere. In real life, most of the discussion will not come to a conclusion no matter how obviously the answer it is. Reason? People do not have same interest most of the time.
When we can discuss whether you prefer a 5070J or 5170J, I am for sure no answer will be there. The same as whether AD should sell above list. Both are fun topic.
Some countries are not able to sell higher then MRSP, some can. There is currency difference, tax refund, AD service around the world etc are also fun to discuss as well.
I also for sure that PP would like to know some of those as well.
