The use of APRIOR sigma marking in 1970s Patek
Jul 07, 2020,09:53 AM
Hello
have read that the APRIOR consortium introduced the use of "sigma-swiss-sigma" on dials of swiss watches from 1970-1971. This was to indicate the use of golden indices in the dial.
Have recently come across this (picture below) in a ref 3445 white gold, watch from 1970 or 1971 from serials (am waiting for the extract).
Now, have never seen sigma-swiss-sigma in a 3445 , may be because most o them are form the sixties.
May I ask if any of the experts of the forum has seen one, or more - and what are your thought. Would not like it to be a replacement by Patek at a later service.
Thanks
Franco
