were probably biting your hand after seeing all of the watches and which one to buy. Probably had nightmares too? Great post with superb photographs. I am very surprised that many of the pieces were scratched. That would be troubling to see.

Thank you for a great report!

I enjoyed when you wrote about your visit to Patek Philippe Salons. I visited there just in the end of March and bought a strap for my 5196P. When I went to an AD to get it assembled, they told me that the other part of the strap is right and the other is...

Nicely detailed report Anders.......

Thank you. And my favourite out of them all was the Black Dial (I think) 5980. This piece is certainly growing on me :)

grim experience kari. must say rolex ad staff is no better, very poor education of sales

 By: Puffy : August 31st, 2012-14:56
staff on what they're selling, like thinking that a watch's serial number is the one found on the clasp etc... the staff is only as good as the training they receive and sadly salaries are quite low in the UK and to some it's only a job to make end meet.....

All I can say is that at the same time

when I visited PP in London, we went with my wife to Breguet Boutique located nearby in New Bond Street. My wife ordered custom length straps for her Reine de Naples. Some six or seven weeks later the Boutique sent me the invoice by email, I paid it, and ...

I'm sorry you have not had a positive experience with the London Salon but as a collector I would just like to add that I have found them to be exceptional, kind, knowledgeable and professional at all times and infact second to none. And I'm not a big buyer...

I am glad to hear that they have service

 By: dr.kol : August 31st, 2012-20:13
you in the correct way. That kind of service is what one would expect from Patek. Best, Kari

Splendid service

I didn't buy much from them either but their service has been splendid.

I agree with Roni--

Thanks for this long and illustrated trip. I really like this 5726, its symetry... But my other favorite among these you tried is the 5159 (and not 5213 as the 5213 is the minute repeater if I'm not wrong) Nice walk you had there, Cheers, Mark

the service is excellent, they got me a strap next day delivery and have secured me a 5711 that I will be picking up when I get home I cannot wait!

Surprised to see such a large inventory, compared to many ADs in LA
