NATO on the 5960P was all the rage last year.....
Personally, I think there are better "casual" straps for the 5070 than the camo one. But, different strokes for different folks I guess....
Enjoy!

Sacrilege? No.Just pure madness and a link with the Past.

A Nato on a 5070... I still have to find the good bars, and I think it will be a good option for this summer: Is that such a crazy idea? I don't think so. After all, the 5070 has some strong links with the Past, an era where 2 Subdials Chronos were someti...
A sacrilege? No, not at all ...

even when I would prefer it on a "simple" nato strap - without camouflage. Great to see the 5070 together with brothers in mind. Thanks a lot, Nico. Oliver
I am hunting a light grey, and another black one, with some stitching.

I love these old chronos so much, and still have to try to find some 4 or 5 oldies... As for the modern, I have to do it again, with a Duometre, a Dato ( the first one, of course ) and a Vacheon. Maybe the G.O Rattrapante, too? Best, Nicolas.

Pure madness. But if you like it with Nato, why not. Best, Kari
Raining in France?
By: dr.kol : July 16th, 2012-10:58
You must be joking! If a couple of drops are falling from the Parisian sky, you call it a rain. But here in Estonia we are really swimming. I'm serious when I say that the water is coming from the sky with greater pressure than from our shower. A sign of ...
Somehow puts the watch in context
By: dedestexhes : July 16th, 2012-07:41
I think it can be worn on a nato, why not? After all, it is a "simple" chronograph. Putting it next to other chronographs underlines that statement. A nice grey one would be best as darker colors would be too "aggresive" Well done! What a different betwee...
Funny , but actually

I do agree, this white gold version really reminds me of WWII chronographs, it is quite different from other 5070 regarding the effect done. I wouldn't put it on an ammo NATO but, definitely on a patinated leather, or NATO Leather. nice photo as usual Nic...
Nato Everything
By: Le Monde Edmond : July 16th, 2012-10:02
Dear Nicolas- you know I am for Natoing EVERYTHING. I love Nato in the summer, you can sweat and not worry about getting the leather ruined! However I would even love to Nato my Datograph however it does not work well: Platinum is too heavy. I think the s...

Agreed that the Camo is a bit provocative.

And that a classic Nato, in grey or black would work better. In Cordura, and we reach the excellence! Thanks, Asg, for your input. Best! Nicolas
So deliciously snobbish !
By: dirost : July 16th, 2012-16:10
Hi Nico, Don't try to find any justification to the Nato in comparing the 5070 to older chronographs ;-))) (By the way, your Longines 30CH is a real killer). This idea to dress a 5070 with a Nato is just an ultra snobbish taste, very "Paris Rive Gauche". ...
You're an excellent psychanalist, Didier.
By: amanico : July 16th, 2012-23:06
That is certainly because I live on the Rive Gauche that I have all these strange ideas... :) These old Chronos are, in a certain way, the epitome of the elegant watch, for me. Very well balanced, not too big, nor too thick, and quite often, a suyperb mov...
I love it

My best mate 'retired' to Bordeaux (just outside st. Emillion) and sold his platinum travel time as he felt it looked too flashy for French tastes. I don't know if it's fair to show him how cool these platinum Pateks look on a NATO. Good choice.
