Singer Tract 1 versus Moser Chrono

 By: GreatPilot@me.com : March 2nd, 2021-09:11
Hello everyone, I’ve been looking at both the Singer Tract 1 one and the Moser Chrono on the bracelet, both use the same movement but are completely different in their functions and look. I love the fact that both watches are central Chronographs. The Mos...

For me personally, there’s no competition between those two.

 By: Pretty Boy : March 2nd, 2021-09:22
The Moser wins by a huge margin. The Singer is just not my taste. Best, V.

 By: Pretty Boy : March 2nd, 2021-09:43

@berti moser is definitely established and high-quality.

 By: GreatPilot@me.com : March 2nd, 2021-10:47
Singer of course is very much new to the market and the reason they haven’t all sold out while the Moser is hard to get. I happen to own a Porsche 992 which has only a little bit of influence and personally I like the look of the DVD, yellow accents and g...

Well V there’s certainly no doubt about your opinion :-)

 By: GreatPilot@me.com : March 2nd, 2021-10:44
Well V there’s certainly no doubt about your opinion , it’s funny I show my wife both these watches and she is very adamant she likes the Singer better but of course she doesn’t truly understand the inner-workings, history and the differences, she’s just ...

The black gold is more luxurious yet sporty

More warmth and feminine

Singer Emirates? What the hell is that?

By: India Whiskey Charlie : March 2nd, 2021-09:33
Rob Dickinson should stick to building his 911's...😉

India whiskey Charlie you must be a pilot or ex-military using the military alphabet?

 By: GreatPilot@me.com : March 2nd, 2021-10:51
Of course my handle, [Email address suppressed for privacy] tells you I am a pilot and that has some influence on possibly going with the Singer since it is focused on the chronograph more than the Moser...Jim

No, the NATO phonetic alphabet idea

Came from here as I have been a longtime fan of IWC pilot watches: Victor Bravo ...

All great points Epilogue.

I do on two other Mosers that I think are wonderful watches but in some ways that makes me want to get the Singer so I don’t have three Mosers … Jim

I didn’t know Faberge had this watch may have not taken the time to check it out.

 By: GreatPilot@me.com : March 2nd, 2021-10:54
Thank you for the reminder, I’ll go take a look… Jim

Always welcome

Add in the Faberge visionto my post

Adding in the Faberge visionnaire to my post

 By: GreatPilot@me.com : March 2nd, 2021-11:43
Adding to the Singer and Moser Chrono I posted, I checked out the Faberge, and out of the three it uses the AgenGraph movement the best in my opinion. It has a 24 hour Chrono (instead of 60 hours with the singer or only 60 minutes on the Moser) with jumpi...

 By: jmpTT : March 2nd, 2021-12:55
Both are unusual watches, but the Moser has the hour and minute hands set up in the conventional fashion. Singer uses a peripheral reading for the time, so the watch is going to be visually static in day-to-day conditions. If you use the chronograph frequ...

Good advice JMP

I’ll check out ming and the service on them and singer. Any comment on the Faberge....Jim

Watches, jewellery and only two eggs

 By: jmpTT : March 2nd, 2021-14:46
In terms of deemphasizing the timekeeping of the watch, the Faberge strikes a middle ground between the Moser / Ming and the Singer. The chronograph is emphasized, but the triangular hands are more visible than the peripheral dial on the Singer. In terms ...

Links to two versions...

 By: jmpTT : March 2nd, 2021-19:49
While these two Mings aren’t exactly official releases, they were made available to special clients. According to the first link, a wider release of the chronograph is in the pipeline for this year. You’d be able to get your hands on one with some back an...

Vote for Moser

Thanks matto, you’re not alone.

 By: GreatPilot@me.com : March 2nd, 2021-16:14
Thank you for replying, I will probably get the Moser but I’m doing my research… Jim

By: India Whiskey Charlie : March 2nd, 2021-14:41

Hey Justin, I did post this in the independent form…

 By: GreatPilot@me.com : March 2nd, 2021-16:16
I’m not sure how It got over to the Patek form… Thank you for your input the Moser is a wonderful watch but the singer is quite intriguing to me. For some reason the real negative on the singer is the 60 hour chronograph, who in the heck wants to time som...

Well Hulk it looks pretty unanimous so far…

 By: GreatPilot@me.com : March 2nd, 2021-16:19
The only person that really likes the Singer is my wife, she definitely has better taste than I do but doesn’t know anything about watches … Jim

I did find the Ming watch but it this point it’s a concept and not being produced.

 By: GreatPilot@me.com : March 2nd, 2021-16:34
That’s too bad because the price would probably be much less and the concepts with the Mosaic dial is beautiful...Jim ...

I read somewhere its 1 of 1. (Perhaps it is the concept piece)

 By: Gelato Monster : March 2nd, 2021-17:43
The real model is going to be different. Much simpler thus more profit margin

Thanks Gelato, I’ve decided to

 By: GreatPilot@me.com : March 2nd, 2021-18:58
Go with the Singer if I can get a good enough discount. I know all the pluses forMoser and the negatives for Singer but I simply like the watch better, I’m not much of a bracelet guy anyway… Jim

if bracelet is not for you than Singer is perfect

 By: Gelato Monster : March 2nd, 2021-19:36
It is a very nice watch especially the emirati version. deep khaki green is awesome. next would be the geneva. I am not very fond of the Faberge iteration

If you are ok with bracelet,

 By: Gelato Monster : March 2nd, 2021-23:00
Honestly I love Moser Flyback the most

Thanks for your input Gelato

 By: GreatPilot@me.com : March 3rd, 2021-14:25
I have not heard back on the Singer yet and if I don’t get the price I want I am waiting for the Moser. The Faberge is a beautiful watch and I suppose if I can buy it for the right price I would consider it but of course the right price is a moving target...

The movement is nearly the same

 By: piccolochimico (aka dsgalaxy1) : March 2nd, 2021-23:09
That's why I choose the aesthetics. Easy win for Moser. Agenhor is still a marvels manufacturing company

Thanks piccolohimico

 By: GreatPilot@me.com : March 3rd, 2021-14:28
Honestly I like the aesthetics of the Faberge and the Singer better than the Moser but the Moser is a much simpler looking watch and has a bracelet which it seems people like a lot… Jim
