Are discussions about auctions appropriate on this forum?

 

Hi Everybody,


Occasionally, interesting watches come up on the auction circuits, and when I refer to auctions, I'm speaking of the likes of Sotheby's, Christies, etc (not Ebay).  Obviously, these sorts of discussions could be considered 'commercial' in nature if not framed correctly.

Is it appropriate to discuss individual watches?  And to stretch the question a bit further, is it permissiable to speak of auction experiences?

to their attributes and what you like or dislike about them or their rarity in coming up for sale. What is not discussed is prices or valuations or thoughts on what would be an appropriate bid for a particular watch. Those topics are usually dealt with in...
