A few things to consider

That may help you to decide

1) you will also have to purchase a new strap that works with the deployant.
Deployant straps are of a different length.

2) if you decide, one day to sell the watch , I doubt anyone will want the deployant as well in white gold.

3) even though no one may notice it’s white gold, you will know. It would nag at me.

In my humble opinion, I’d either get the plat deployant or stick as is. Halfway measures are never fully satisfying.

Sincerely
H.

Opinions requested: White gold deployant on a Platinum Patek

 By: @Patek_Ambassador : January 15th, 2020-19:58
I purchased a 5905P recently — a gorgeous Platinum annual calendar chronograph. My only complaint is that Patek put a platinum tang buckle on it as opposed to a deployant. My other Pateks (5130R and 5170J) both have deployants. I find the deployant more c...

Considering the piece, I'd shell out the extra cash to go with the platinum deployant

The difference is only $2,300. Seems like a negligible amount compared to the cost of the watch itself.

I know that many platinum Cartier watches

come with white gold deployants but that is because they do not make platinum deployants I believe. Although there is a cost saving involved, I would definitely get a platinum Patek deployant even though a white gold one will match perfectly. And the reas...

Nothing but Platinum

You have gone this far. Be true to the watch and true to yourself. If you must have a deployant clasp then do it right and buy it in platinum. I prefer the classic tang buckle on any leather-strap Patek, but that’s a different conversation.

Why do you prefer the tang? [nt]

Classic!

There is something about the traditional tang-buckle that just says “Classic” to me. The deployant buckles make me nervous. I had one on an Aquanaut many years ago that would (seemingly) open up on its own. My 3940 has a Tang buckle as well as my 3970, 15...
