Because it took IWC two separate titanium cases to accomplish the same thing! Maybe it was the the water-proofing?

PS - one thing about these IWC calendar watches - you can't fake the date you took the photo without some serious Photoshop work

Not found on the watch but in the literature. I talked to Kurt Klaus about it, and he said “Ja, you can swim anywhere with it - salt water no problems.”
