...and if I am, please don't wake me!  Looking at all these gorgeous Memovoxes being celebrated in one exhibition is like dying and going to JLC heaven!    The alarm is one of my favorite complications, so naturally the Memovox is a favorite watch of mine.  I really am going to have to add one to my collection.  I love the current Memovox, but many of these vintage pieces have a real charm too. 

The one major problem I have with JLC is that I love TOO MANY of them.  Thus, I'm having a hard time deciding which pieces are "the ones" for me.  Soon SIHH 2011 will be upon us, and my pocketbook lives in fear of what MJLC will unveil.  It will assuredly be the year of the Reverso, and I've yet to buy a non-round timepiece, so will this be my year for that?  Or will the head torturers at JLC offer a new interpretation of the black-dialed Memovox?  A Geophysic reissue?  A new take on the Geomatic -- something simple, or maybe a return to the cross-hair dial?  The mind reels at all the possibilities.

Back to sleep now...dreaming of shiny new JLCs in my watchbox.  Thank you for feeding my subconscious, Nicolas!

The Memovox, being Vintage or Modern, is a watch to include, in any collection,  in my opinion.

A friendly complication with a look which may be timeless, or sporty, or both.

This exhibition demonstrated with brio that you may even consider getting more than one Memovox!

And I don't even speak about the modern watches, which tend to show the same diversity:

Nostalgy, with the Polaris.

Timeless, with the new Master Memovox.

Sporty, with the Navy SEALs Alarm.

Complicated, with the Grand Reveil ( Perpetual Calendar + Alarm ).

And the Future, which will certainly bring us some brilliant creations and developments.

You will end with one, Sister, I read it  in your mind.

Nicolas - BTW, do you know why this is in Paris as well?

My guess is that it was organised in Paris because Artcurial is a Parisian  Auction House.

We were very lucky to see so many interesting events these last weeks.
