Regardless of the temperature and humidity, how quickly a leather strap becomes 'manky' depends on the skin and degree of perspiration of the owner. Some people go through leather straps very quickly.
This is the original strap on the Paul Gerber P10 Anniversary piece. I love the colour match but the strap ages in a certain way. Don't expect it to look the same after a few wears - the raised 'scales' on the surface are delicate and wear flat. This is fine, and part of putting your stamp on the watch, akin to patina. I purchased a second strap to keep this original one pristine, to remember what it was like when first delivered.
