...I saw the watch in person and I'm pretty sure the dial has not been well executed. There seems to be some markings on the dial which can be seen with the naked eye once you know they are there, and they are easily seen under a loupe.
I'm no expert on enamel and the tolerances for imperfection but for me, I would not be interested in this watch because of what I saw. I pointed this out to the MG rep showing the watches at Christies and he agreed that what we were seeing appeared to be in the dial.
Again, I could be wrong and what I saw was not an imperfection and so others input would be needed. That said, I wanted to at least highlight what I saw. Please ask them to take a close up macro of the dial, the lower area close to 6 and 7 (if I recall correctly).
