NATO is fine and what I would want anyways. I already own many Isofrane rubber straps which I consider the best available so no need for a tropical strap...
I just would like custom hardware so hopefully he can source that part which should be fairly easy to do 😁😉

No idea in the US but just Google Isofrane rubber strap. They are SUPER flexible so you will need a 24mm size for your BB FF even though it uses 23mm. Easily squeezes to fit...
I wear a blue 24mm Isofrane on my BP FF CC. They were huge in the 70s and the new Isofrane company uses a similar rubber compound to the originals. IMHO, they are the best rubber dive straps available. They are super thick but amazingly soft and pliable. See below.
