In the end I couldn’t get over the fact how mismatched the movement is with the case, just screams lazy to me. Same with American 1921 with Vacheron - the new smaller model holds the same movement which fills the case beautifully.

...for it not to be lazy. Companies like PP are making money hand over fist, but keep putting old (small) movements in huge (new) cases. If these companies were serious, they would be developing movements to fit the cases. Not quite as bad as putting a round movement in a rectangular case, but close...
Well, in the case of the 5196, it is / was in the catalogue for quite a long time, what? 15 years? But I have to agree that a bigger movement would be great in a 37 / 38 mm case. [nt]
