I might even have this magazine which I just packed up bubble wrapped in my suitcase to be taken back to Malaysia to join the rest of my Patek memorabilia

I had actually kept the magazine in 'as new' condition! (yes I know, I lead a sad life ) Quite interestingly, the work on the development of the hinged cover and its locking mechanism took three years. Its 52 components are twice as many as in other complex watch cases! I have worn the watch on two occasions so far and it has been a joy! I thought I would miss seeing a watch dial but just knowing that the time is kept hidden under the hinged cover provides a deep and arguably selfish satisfaction!

I may leave the original Patek plastic on the watch. Over protective perhaps?!

Always wanted one so one day got a deal on a used version a few years back. While they are relatively inexpensive, with a small case that is perhaps the most complicated of any Patek, i found it wears very awkwardly. Case/movement combo is quite small, yet the weight of case/movement is simply far too much, and so disliked the lack of wrist balance due to said weight.

I had downloaded and saved your pics before buying the watch and then took some of my own photos before uploading the wrong ones on this site. My apologies. Yes the watch is heavier than it looks due to the gold lid but this will not be my daily watch as I think it is better suited as a special occasion watch. It wears fine with me size and weight wise and I am quite surprised that I do not miss looking at the dial with the lid closed. It makes opening the lid more of an occasion for me

She is lovely, and i had both the brown and black straps. Might even have one of them still here somewhere.

I think the brown strap makes the watch look a little less formal and mine should hopefully last for ages as it is brand new and I am aiming to wear the watch no more than 20 times a year to keep it in mint condition. I have not even removed the Patek blue plastic on the lid and will try my best to resist the temptation to do so

the flat surface is sooo easy to polish. Remove the plastic and enjoy!

I am enjoying it very much even with the plastic on! I think for me, I may enjoy it less with the plastic off! Thanks anyway and I prefer not to polish the watch if possible.
