I see we're exactly on the same line here, this diversity seems to be really well carried forward.

"Timeless" is the word and is what prevents something from being just a fad.

Thanks a lot for sharing the logo "plaque" as I never paid attention to this in the past.

Hope you're doing well Elio smile

The star of the show this year for me.

Thanks for the great write up. I love this watch - the case, dial, lugs and the combination of complications. As already mentioned a longer chrono would be better, but I saw this watch as first and foremost a world time watch, with the chrono an added bonus, so on that basis I could live with the 30 minute counter.

It's my pleasure Russ :)

As I said, I didn't feel that way the first day but as I got deeper into the watch I think I feel exactly the same now.

There are so many elements that work perfectly together in this watch. For instance, I found the 5496/5396's case a little cold sometimes, though it may please the owners wishing to have something more modern, and this one keeps the straight lines (compared to rounder 5127/5140 etc...) while adding these marvelous looking new lugs.

I agree with your feeling about the chrono and can also perfectly live with it as it is, though I would have prefered a longer period.

Thanks for your input and your very nice comments!

Thanks Mark for another detailed write-up on the WT series ! The 5930 is an ...

attractive watch (from photos and write-ups that I have seen)

First, it has the guilloche pattern similar to the 5110 which we all agree is an icon (guilloche in conjunction with other numerous aspects such as hands, size, etc.).

Second, the blue (with gray hue) gives it different characteristics depending on lighting.

Three, IMO the chrono complements a WT as much as it matches other functions.  I would find the chrono function useful while traveling but the fact that 5930 provides only 30 minutes reduces its functionality.  For example, while on a flight, I might want to check the flight time or total door-to-door travel time.  Hence, for me, the usefulness of the 5930 could be improved with a longer measurement period.

Indeed, a very nice reference

once we understand it and accept the change with an open mind (aesthetcial tastes taken aside of course).

Indeed the pattern is similar and it is funny to see that it can match a 5110's very classical and "dressy" watch so as 1960's smart casual one as well.

I think that the way the whole dial works is a smashing move. To be confirmed in the metal smile

We fully agree on the last point.

Thanks for your nice comment and opinion on that new 5930 Gordon!
