Two very rare tonneau-shaped birds
The Patek Philippe ref. 2470 and 2469 are so rare that they have never even been mentioned on our site.
Both references seem to share the same case but feature different dials:
- Ref. 2470: single 12 numeral, diamond-shaped indexes at 3 & 9, dot indexes elsewhere, baton hands.
- Ref. 2469: 3, 9 & 12 numerals, triangular indexes, dauphine, pear or baton hands.
My personal favorite is the ref. 2470.

This variant has been sold in 1993 and 1996 by Antiquorum
and more recently in 2024 by Sotheby's. And for such an affordable price...
