One of very limited series of watches commissioned by Goldpfeil from 7 master AHCI members in 2000/2001. White gold, one of 108 produced. Vianney's Goldpfeil the most famous of this series, and a signature piece in his collection.
Known for jumping hours and moonphase, this watch is also sometimes referred to as the "camera watch," with rectangular case with alternating brushed, polished, and ball-pein hammered surfaces, the shape reminiscent of an antique camera. Casework on the Goldpfeil is incredible and varied, as on many of Vianney's creations.
Rectangular display of precise jumping hours in upper left, minutes and seconds shown below by blue and red hands above "enamel-like" dial, and circular display in upper right of highly-accurate moonphase. All apertures covered by AR crystals, a total of 4 different crystals on this watch. All functions adjusted via the crown. Rear case and crystal comfortably curved to shape of wrist.
Crown is fashioned of single piece of white gold, and has feel reminiscent of forwarding old camera. Wonderful tactile feel.
Rectangular shaped movement specifically crafted for this watch, generally thought to be first in-house Vianney movement.
Unique tang buckle design is a signature item for this watch.
This example comes with very rare full "collector's package," including box/papers, hang tag, Goldpfeil book, Goldpfeil CD, and new original Goldpfeil navy blue strap (not on watch).
Perfect example of Vianney's genius. Historically important watch, with cutting-edge, though timeless, design. At the same time, so pleasing on the wrist.
Case has superficial marks from light wear.
